The web agency is announcing it will offer guidance and assistance to business owners and webmasters with encryption protection and AMP speed capabilities.
Los Angeles, CA, March 28, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Silver Lake-based Digital Marketing Agency Websites Depot is announcing expanded services that will prepare businesses for major changes Google has announced for this summer. The award-winning team of digital marketing experts and developers has been advising businesses to prepare for revised ranking scoring factors dealing with website security and mobile site speed. In several public statements, Google has announced the changes taking place in July 2018 and has advised webmasters and business owners to make proper adjustments in anticipation.
The Websites Depot web development and search engine optimization teams have undergone extensive training and internal seminars in preparation for the new rules set forth by the search engine giant. As a result, the agency's existing clients and new construction projects can now expect to implement a refined set of tools geared towards search engine performance.
"AMP pages will allow for advertisers and e-commerce websites to perform better, faster, and give potential customers that sense of immediacy they need to take action on your page."

The updates that are slated to go live in July encompass several areas of focus in the Google search algorithm. One of the major points of emphasis will be placed on mobile site speed that focuses primarily on queries from mobile devices, specifically. Previously, Google's search algorithms for loading time focused primarily on desktop search, but Google's gradual rollout of it's "mobile first indexing" in 2018 is changing that well into the foreseeable future.
According to Websites Depot spokesperson Zeke Hernandez, when Google's announced mid-summer "Speed Update" goes into effect, an important advantage to have is to make use of Accelerated Mobile Pages. (AMP)
"Searches are now being conducted at an increasing rate on mobile devices-- we're talking well over 70 percent of all traffic will be attributed to mobile devices in the coming years," said Hernandez, "AMP pages will allow for advertisers and e-commerce websites to perform better, faster, and give potential customers that sense of immediacy they need to take action on your page."
AMP pages are open-sourced and customizable, and have to be coded specifically for fast loading on mobile devices. The pages have to follow a number of coding parameters in order to get the special marking in search engine results.
Another major rollout by Google slated for July 2018 will be to list any websites that do not have secure socket layer protection (SSL, often signified by the green 'Secure' padlock) as "Not secure" in the browser's address bar. Earlier official statements by Google have indicated that faster loading pages and sites encrypted with SSL certificates typically rank higher on search engines.
